Pregnancy Test Urine Accuracy

Not another “Am I pregnant?” question..?

I’ve read a few questions about negative pregnancy tests, but I need to know this for myself.
I’m three days late and tested with a Clear Blue digital test and after two minutes got a huge blow to my hopes when the “not pregnant” showed up.
I’m not under any stress, so I don’t think my period would be late because of that. My period has been completely regular for me.
The symptoms I have could possibly be either in my head or related to PMS.
Could it have been a false negative?(And if so, how long should I wait to test again?)
And is there a difference in accuracy between testing in your urine stream and testing in a cup of urine as the test suggests?
Any personal experience or recommendations?

I tested with a Clear Blue digital test and also got a “not pregnant” not once, but 3 times. I’m now 8 weeks pregnant.
I suggest buying a First Response strip test. You know, the ones with the lines instead of the digital ones. The digital ones need more HCG to get a positive. Even a very faint positive on a First Response, or any other HPT with the lines, is a positive.
